Aged Care Assessments

totallyOT are able to complete Occupational Therapy assessments to people in receipt of Home Care Packages.

We are not a My Aged Care accredited provider, but have experience working in this space, providing assessment of and recommendations regarding functional ability, support needs, assistive technology needs and home modifications.

Services include:

• Functional Capacity Assessment
• Simple assistive technology for supporting mobility and independence  needs e.g.  walkers, toilet aids, Activities of Daily Living aids.
• More complex assistive technology in the home e.g. adjustable beds, hoists, shower aids, scooters, recliners, wheelchairs etc. assessment and prescription.
• Simple and complex modifications (Dependent on available funding)
•  Vehicle modifications to rear or non-driver adaptations. (For any driver control modifications totallyOT can recommend a Driver Assessor Trained Occupational Therapist).
• Client transfers and manual handling consultancy, assessment, support and training.

These services are provided in the client’s home and trials of any necessary equipment can be co-ordinated either in the home or at a supplier’s location (dependent on client abilities and the items in question).
