Vehicle Modifications 

Limited capacity for referrals - timelines/ expected delays can be provided

totallyOT are able to assist with non-driver control vehicle modifications.

Examples of work completed by the Occupational Therapist(s) at totallyOT include: trailers for power wheelchairs, small boot mounted hoists to lift wheelchairs/ scooters into the rear of vehicles, review of wheelchair anchor points and harnesses, and a swivel and slide seat for a side sliding door entry. 

Specific criterion need to be met from an NDIS perspective. These will  be discussed at referral to determine if the proposed vehicle will meet the requirements.

Usually a full Functional Capacity Assessment is also required when requesting vehicle modifications.
